Spoiling for a fight
One of the worse parts of being mates with a bunch of yanks is that every time a game release comes around that I’m excited for I have this horrible three day wait whilst they enjoy the game and I’m sat twiddling my thumbs. This is all down to the fact that in the US they get their game releases on a Tuesday and we have to wait until Friday. Of course we don’t have to, they could quite happily release games here on a Tuesday too, and on some rare occasions they have done just that with actual worldwide releases.
Unfortunately that has not been the case for Street Fighter IV, a game I’ve been more excited about right now than pretty much anything in recent memory (save possibly GTA IV, though that was a worldwide release). It’s incredibly frustrating seeing my Xbox Live friends list filled with “Now playing Street Fighter IV” entries, as I just want to join in and play too.
But for now I have to sit and cross my fingers, hope my various orders turn up on time and I get to join in the fun on Friday. I’m also hoping that my Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition Fightstick makes it at some point over the weekend too (the order has actually changed to packing, so this is promising) as I’m planning to get a few mates round from some elbow-to-elbow Street Fighter action.
I just have to wait…

If it makes you feel any better, you won’t see me playing SF IV at all.

Can’t say that does make me feel any better Tri-Devin, no. And Nathan, if it got me SFIV now, sure go for it. :p

Oh sure, complain about SFIV. It’s not like I’ve had to put up with my whole friends list playing Tales of Vesperia for months now with no sign of a UK release in sight. :P

Hey man, if you’re excited about Vesperia I can totally understand your annoyance. Personally I’m just not fussed about Vesperia, whereas I’m stupidly excited about SFIV and am going nuts not being able to play it yet.

I know, I know… I’m just saying be grateful it is only a few days, not like some other releases where we have to wait for months for Europe to get it. This very evening, all your SFIV wishes should be granted, if all goes according to plan. :)

Actually things went better than that, both my copy of the game and my Tournament Edition stick turned up yesterday so I’ve been playing a fair bit so far. Fingers crossed they’ll announce something about Vesperia sometime soon.

If it makes you feel any better, you’ll see me playing Vesperia a lot right now.
…Wait.

See that’s not mean to me Tri, that’s mean to Soluzar, and how is that called for? You big meanie.

To be fair, originally I was calling myself Evil Devin on here. I only changed it to this for clarification after I noticed you have the other Devin writing articles from time to time.

You wouldn’t want your entire economy to collapse because people stayed home and played new games on Tuesday, would you?
